The Real Plague

Rapture is an abomination: that is the true illness of this city. Our gracious founders would hail it is as liberation-- where the parasite would be starved, where the best and the brightest would flourish without constrait. But it does not attract great men: it attracts the dregs of humanity. Cowards who fear persecution, thieves and murderers who avoid their judgment, bullies who will never listen to a word of reason. They come here with the excuse that this is to be expected of them-- and truly... it is. The only thing Rapture is supporting are mad men who want to spit out nonsense and call it art for an easy buck, or single-minded "intellectuals" with no care for the value of human life.

The undiluted concentration of the vile, the corrupt, and the greedy... and I intend to ensure that they all return to the deepest pit from whence they came.... Mother was right. Rapture was never meant to be, and it will atone for its crimes. A watery grave is fitting, don't you think?
